ORGANIZATIONS
American
Autoimmune Related Diseases Association-is dedicated to the
eradication of autoimmune diseases and the alleviation of suffering
and the socioeconomic impact of autoimmunity through fostering and
facilitating collaboration in the areas of education, research, and
patient services in an effective, ethical and efficient manner.
American
Foundation for Thyroid Patients-The primary purpose of the Foundation is education. Secondly, but equally important, is our goal to inform the public of the prevalence of thyroid disease in our society.
Thyroid
Foundation of America- provides health education and support to thyroid patients, their families and health professionals who care for them. Most thyroid problems are lifelong and often change over time so TFA members are kept up to date through quarterly newsletters. TFA refers patients to thyroid specialists and to interest or support groups around the country, promotes public awareness of thyroid problems, and, if funding permits, sponsors special projects and research.

Foundation of Canada-this websites purpose is to
provide up-to-date information for thyroid patients and their
families. It also provides links to other health and thyroid related
organizations and Internet resources.
Thyroid
Society for Education and Research-is a non-profit organization dedicated to pursuing the prevention, treatment and cure of thyroid disease. The Thyroid Society engages in thyroid disease patient and community education by providing a computerized physician referral system of thyroid specialists, producing and distributing patient education brochures, operating a toll-free information phone line, and offering patient education seminars.
The
MAGIC Foundation (Clinical Hypothyroid Division)-is a national
nonprofit organization created to provide support services for the
families of children afflicted with a wide variety of chronic and/or
critical disorders, syndromes and diseases that affect a child's
growth. Some of the diagnoses are quite common while others are very
rare.
National
Graves' Disease Foundation-is an organization comprised of people with Graves' disease, the families of those affected, physicians and other professionals. The organization aims to establish support groups for members in all states; foster public awareness and education on the causes, effects and treatment of Graves' disease; and participates in research on Graves' disease. An annual national conference for patients and family members features experts in many related fields. All conferences are audio and video taped and maintained as a tape library.
